Vagora & Darrow Chemical Company - Split

This is the brand new split release of two great new horrorpunk bands from the USA. The A side here belongs to Vagora, a band where TB from Blitzkid used to play guitar too, and yes... Vagora sounds alot like old Blitzkid stuff with a mixture of Nim Vind and Mister Monster in my view. On the other side you get two tracks of Darrow Chemical Company. And they play straight and catchy horrorpunk which is at least as great as the Vagora tunes. I'm really stoked of that record and you should get one of the only 138 copies that were pressed as long as this split is still available on no balls records.

I bought this 10" split one week ago for really cheap when you consider that this piece of vinyl is selling for 80 € on eBay. It's going to be the birthday present for the girl I love so I had to rip and post it right after it arrived me yesterday. I listened to the record yesterday evening and all I thought was that I really don't want to give it away because it's expensive, one of my favourite bands is on it (Blitzkid), and it's really great work of the bands on both sides. I hope you guys are at least a little as happy as the girl, which will get this record in one month, for this post. And don't worry she will not found out about this present because she do not view my blog!

It's no metal and no boring rock shit... it's still hardcore punk and it will still kick your ass!

Rik L Rik - Teenage Destiny

This song is nowhere else released on the internet as far as I seen and so this is a very rare piece of the early L.A. punk rock history. The song was written in 1978 while Rik was playing in Negative Trend but he recorded it two years later with some other musicans of the L.A. scene. The 7" was released in 1990 by Posh Boy on white vinyl and I don't know how much pressings were out there but I guess there are not much.

Reagan Regime Review

This record was a free 7" which comes together with the Best of the Touch and Go magazine in 1991. It's a compilation of live recordings from different bands which were on the Touch and Go label in the 80's. The tracks were compiled by Tesco Vee of the Meatmen and I think I don't have anything more to say if you take a look on the tracklist. The backcover says that the last band here is called McDonalad's but I think it's a typing fail of McDonald's.

This is a rare bootleg of one of the Ramones first demo recordings ever from 1975. This 7" was released in 1989 in some country in east europe as far as I know. There is not much information on the sleeve or the record at all exept the tracklist and the name of the producer Tome Erdeli. The sound quality is pretty good for such a bootleg demo release so get this piece of punk rock history.

I fucking love this band from L.A. since I've heard their album "Unholy Sounds of Damnation". I didn't even knew that there are some 7" records of them until I saw two singles of Damnation on eBay. Of course I get these 2 singles and this is the first of them I post. The vinyl is piss yellow coloured and both songs are on the A side. Damnation plays a mix of Misfits and Motörhead and still got their own style in some way.

Plastic Bertrand - Ça plane pour moi

Both songs were pressed on the A side and Halloween is of course a Misfits cover. By the way you should know that lead guitarist and singer of the Undead Bobby Steel has also played guitar for the Misfits in the 80's. I can't tell you if Nightmare is a cover too or an original Undead song, but anyway the song is great too.

In my view, this is one of the best 7" coverartworks I've ever seen, and the best of all... the music is even beter. I hope you all know Sniffing Glue because it's one of the greatest hardcore bands in germany, on vinyl and on stage. The singer, who is also the man behind search for fame records, beat his head with the micro until his head bleed on every fucking show. I hope this story is enough for you to realize that this is just all destroying hardcore punk... exept the first song who's a real great middle-tempo punk rock bomb.

Maybe this one here's the most unknown N.Y.H.C. band from the late 80's that you've ever heard. This self-titled 7" is all that Beef Trust has ever released but it's one of the best hardcore singles I've heard from New York. They released it on Skene Records in 1989 and the music really reminds me of Gorilla Biscuits and other early Revelation stuff.

Stray Cats - Rock this Town

This is an original copy of the first release by the Stray Cats, an american rockabilly band from Long Island and later from the United Kingdom. Rock this town is one of many great songs from their debut LP and Can't hurry love is a really great cover of the Supremes hit from the 60's. Thee DKB is one of the best and most unknown punk bands from germany, and this is their second single which is out since May 2010. Their first release was a picture 12" in 2002 although they formed the band in 1993. This single is limited to 109 regular copies and 35 release show copies with an all-green cover.

The title song of this 7" was one of my punk rock favorites shortly after I had give this one the first spin on my turntable. I really love the Undead and their records, at least the few that I can call my own. The first 3 tracks where recorded on the 8th August 2000 in Knoxville, TN and "Verbal abuse" was recorded live. All four songs are pure punk rock & roll and really kicks ass in my view but don't trust me and give yourself a listen.

This one here is a german live bootleg of a Negative Approach gig in the Newton Theatre in Washington D.C. on the 24th Juni 1984. It was supposed to be a benefit for a german animal rights organisation. But sexists suck, even if they are into animal rights, so a swiss organisation which fights against sexual slavery with women from the 3rd world gets the money. I think there were 500 copies of this one but I'm not sure.

If you know Septic Death than you should know their singer Pushead. He's my favourite punk artist, go to google and check his pictures. He was arist for the Misfits and Metallica for example and he had his own label called "Pusmort" where he released all the Septic Death stuff and a few great compilations. Redd Kross - Burn out

I think that these two songs are one of the first recordings ever of L.A.'s Redd Kross but I'm not sure. "Burn out" was recorded in 1979 and the other song "Cover band" was recorded in 1981. The single as you see it here was released in 1990 by Posh Boy Records. By the way take a view on the backcover, they look like 13 year old kids.
